Data Scientist
Location: This position will work a hybrid model (remote and office). Ideal candidates will live within 50 miles of the following PulsePoint location. 740 W. Peachtree St NW, Atlanta, GA 30308
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm
The Data Scientist will develop data visualizations.
How you will make an impact:
• Analyze data utilization statistical tools.
• Operationalize machine learning algorithms.
• Generate data from on-premise and cloud data sources.
• Document business requirements for data processing.
• Negotiate data delivery with business owners.
• Operate as a consultant to assist business owners with data-driven decision making.
• Serve as technical expert for team and mentor lower-level analysts.
• Design predictive modeling projects to address specific business problems determined by consultation with business partners.
• Work with datasets of varying degrees of size and complexity including both structured and unstructured data.
• Pipe and process massive data streams in distributed computing environments such as Hadoop to facilitate analysis.
• Implement batch and real-time model scoring to drive actions.
• Develop proprietary algorithms to build customized solutions that go beyond standard industry tools and lead to innovative solutions.
• Develop sophisticated visualization of analysis output for business users.
• Provide high-level controllership/evaluation of all output produced to ensure established targets are met.
• Determine the continuous improvement opportunities of current predictive modeling algorithms.
• Proactively collaborate with business partners to determine identified population segments and develop actionable plans to enable the identification of patterns related to quality, use, cost, and other variables.

Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, or related field of study. Three (3) years of experience in related occupation(s).
Additional Requirements:
Three (3) years of experience must include:
• Three (3) years of experience with statistical modeling.
• Three (3) years of experience with Power BI or Tableau.
• Three (3) years of experience creating dashboards and customized interactive reports.
• Three (3) years of experience using SQL.
• One (1) year of experience creating data pipelines and processing massive datasets in distributed computing environments to facilitate analysis.
• ALTERNATE EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: Employer will accept a Master’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, or a related field of study, and one (1) year of experience.
• Must have one (1) year of experience in each of the skills listed above.
