Elevance Health supports a hybrid workplace model (virtual and in-office) with PulsePoint sites used for collaboration, community, and connection. This position will take part in the hybrid workforce strategy which includes virtual work and in office days 1-2 times per week.

The Corporate Development Analyst Sr. is responsible for assisting the Corporate Development team in identifying and executing on strategic acquisitions, equity investments, joint ventures and other strategic relationships to help the company acquire assets, invest in companies and obtain relationships to grow the revenue and profitability of the company. This role is central to the functioning of our team and provides crucial insight into the financial performance of our portfolio investments. The Senior Analyst will work closely with all team members to provide financial analysis and modeling as needed to support decision making and performance tracking.

How You Will Make an Impact:

Primary duties may include, but are not limited to:

  • Provides financial modeling through valuation and financial return analysis. Develops financial rationale, including pro forma combination models, accretion/dilution analysis, views of transaction synergies and synergy achievement costs, and various analyses including discounted cash flows.
  • Analyzes financial statements.
  • Develops clear and concise presentations for an executive audience outlining the investment opportunity, including its strategic fit, financial return, risk and profile.
  • Supports the due diligence process.
  • Monitors and tracks the universe of potential strategic investments through industry landscape analysis and company profiling.
  • Develops strategic rationale for acquisitions and investments including how it fits into corporate strategy.

Specific responsibilities:

Team Collaboration and Stakeholder Management : Work directly with the Venture Team and key portfolio company stakeholders, including CFOs, controllers, and founders. Foster strong relationships and open dialogue to ensure models are up to date and reflect current results and potential changes in forecasts or expected returns.

Financial Analysis & Modelling : Perform a broad array of financial analyses for both company investment and commercialization models. Leverage advanced data analysis skills to provide strategic recommendations and actionable insights, influencing crucial business decisions.

Financial Tracking : Monitor and track both company and internal financials. Analyze financial performance, identify trends, and report any inconsistencies or issues relative to expectations.

Investment Analysis : Assess and measure the return on investments . Apply comprehensive knowledge of financial principles and investment strategies to evaluate the profitability of investments.

Minimum Requirements:

Requires a BA/BS degree and a minimum of 3 years of related experience; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.
