Elevance Health operates in a Hybrid Workforce Strategy, providing various levels of flexibility while also ensuring that associates have opportunities to connect in-person. Unless in a designated virtual-eligible role and specified as primarily virtual by the hiring manager, associates are required to work at an Elevance Health location at least once per week, and potentially several times per week. Specific requirements and expectations for time onsite will be discussed as part of the hiring process.

Candidates must reside within 50 miles or 1-hour commute each way of a posted Elevance Health location.

The Senior Performance Support Designer is responsible for analyzing, designing, developing, and implementing interactive performance support solutions.

How you will make an impact:

Primary duties may include, but are not limited to:

  • Authors support material using technical writing standards.

  • Conducts change management activities to ensure successful adoption and use of tools.

  • Provides thought leadership and implements forward-thinking performance support tools in support of company goals.

  • Leads and participates in quality review process.

  • Accountable for alignment of tools with business work processes.

  • Partners with business SMEs on expected business outcomes.

  • Uses data analysis techniques as well as a deep understanding of the business to identify solutions for complex problems.

  • Collaborates with content owners, graphic designers, technology consultants and technologists, and other project team members on requirements, design, development and implementation of projects.

  • Performs analysis, interprets requirements, designs, builds, and implements business aligned interactive performance support tools and solutions using a variety of techniques and tools

  • Performs configuration management duties within development and production environments.

  • Also, guides internal versus external hosting decisions in collaboration with IT.

  • Responds to and troubleshoots solution bugs, defects, or performance issues.

  • Assists with technical root-cause analysis when needed.

  • Gathers ideas and solutions from the learning industry and matches them to emerging or unclear business needs.

  • Builds and maintains standard templates, style guides, outputs and testing criteria for all support tools.

  • Assists manager with work assignments and Performance Support strategy.

  • Coaches and mentors junior team members.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Requires a BA/BS in education, learning technologies, instructional design or related field and a minimum of 5 years of experience in related field, including a minimum of 3 years in the development of informal learning or interactive decision support tools; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.

Preferred Skills, Capabilities and Experiences:

  • Masters preferred.

  • LEAN 6 Sigma Certification

For candidates working in person or remotely in the below locations, the salary* range for this specific position is $68,832 to $137,664
