Stop Loss Sales Account Executive Sr

Location: This position will work in a hybrid model (remote and travel). The ideal candidate must live within 50 miles of one of our Elevance Health PulsePoint locations listed on the requisition.

Compensation: Base Salary + Sales Incentive

The Stop Loss Sales Account Executive Sr is responsible for acquiring and renewing Stop Loss sales through brokers and consultants within an assigned territory. This role will also be a resource for assisting the medical sales teams with selling and renewing bundled stop-loss and ASO accounts if/when needed. Our target market is Employers with 500+ employees covered in a self-funded medical plan.

How you will make an impact:

  • Prospects accounts and produces revenue through new and renewal Stop Loss sales.

  • Generates stop-loss RFP activity through sales calls to brokers and consultants.

  • Develop strategies and utilize selling techniques to acquire new business.

  • Solve client needs through consultative and solution-based selling; build relationships with key contacts in the territory to identify, develop, and negotiate sales opportunities as well as handle renewal activity.

Minimum Requirement

  • Requires a BA/BS and a minimum of 10 years of Stop Loss sales experience; or any combination of education and experience which would provide an equivalent background.

  • Life and Health sales license(s) are required within 30 days of hire in the state(s) and/or assigned territory.

Preferred Experience, Skills, and Capabilities

  • Senior-level sales and training competencies are strongly preferred.

  • Experience and knowledge of stop-loss markets and trends are highly preferred.

  • Insurance experience rating experience preferred.

  • Experience interacting confidently with senior management and executive level stakeholders, as a subject matter expert and comfortable with influencing decision-making.

  • Experience and knowledge in healthcare sales supporting large employers/national accounts are highly preferred.

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office products, MS Teams, and Salesforce strongly preferred.

  • The ability to travel up to 20-30% is strongly preferred.
