Financial Accounting Intern, Part Time Co-Op

Location: This position will work a hybrid model (remote and office) based in our Mason, OH PulsePoint office.

This co-op internship program is set to run for 6 months and will operate on a part-time (20-24 hours per week) basis. The program also requires the selected candidate to be in-office at least once per week on Thursdays for in-person team collaboration. 

The Financial Accounting Intern, Part Time Co-Op will be responsible for supporting the Federal Health Products and Services (FHPS) Accounting team with month-end close functions, projects, and initiatives. This role provides an exciting opportunity to learn and apply practical accounting knowledge, showcase critical thinking skills, and support meaningful work.

How you will make an impact:

  • Preparing simple journal entries to close the books

  • Preparing simple reconciliations

  • Researching reconciliation items for other staff

  • Collaborating on ad-hoc tasks and projects

Minimum Requirements:

  • Pursuing a Bachelors Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related major at an accredited college or university

  • Ability to work a minimum of 20 hours per week for the duration of the internship out of our Mason, Ohio location

Preferred Skills, Capabilities, and Experiences:

  • Juniors and Seniors are preferred

  • Demonstrated teamwork and leadership ability as evidenced in extracurricular activities

  • Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills

  • Experience in the use of MS Office suite (Word, Excel, and Access)
