Business Information Developer
Location: This position will work a hybrid model (remote and in office 1 - 2 days per week). Ideal candidates will live within 50 miles of our Norfolk, VA Pulse Point location.
The Business Information Developer is responsible for assisting with the development and execution of data mining analyses to enhance reporting functionality and identify data relationships and patterns.
How you will make an impact:
Creates and maintains databases to track business performance.
Analyzes data and summarizes performance using summary statistical procedures.
Develops and analyzes business performance reports (e.g., for claims data, provider data, utilization data) and provides notations of performance deviations and anomalies.
Creates and publishes periodic reports, as well as any necessary ad hoc reports.
Devise best way to develop appropriate diagnostic and/or tracking data for business issues that will translate business requirements into usable decision support tools.
Make recommendations based upon data analysis.
Requires a BS/BA degree; up to 2 years’ experience; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.
Preferred Skills, Capabilities, and Experiences:
3+ years of hands-on experience with Tableau strongly preferred.
3+ years of experience with SQL server developing complex queries, querying data warehouse, relational strongly preferred.
Experience creating dashboards, KPI scorecards, subscription reports, self-service and ad hoc reports strongly preferred.
Experience with SSRS and SSIS strongly preferred.
Ability to manipulate large sets of data is strongly preferred.
Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills are strongly preferred.Healthcare background with a focus on reporting recoveries on DRG billed claims strongly preferred.
