Location: New York, NY or within the Tri-State region (New Jersey or Connecticut)

The Business Change Advisor Sr. will be responsible for assisting the senior leadership team (New York Provider Solutions and the Local Health Plan(s)) and the organization more broadly in bridging the gap between current and desired business performance levels, and balancing short-term business needs with long-term perspectives on success to ensure that our change journey produces desired results. Specifically, this position will support network operational, audit, regulatory and strategic initiatives, as a key contributor towards Empire’s mission to improve the health of all New Yorkers.

How you will make an impact:

  • Operates as the primary point of contact between New York / Empire Provider Solutions (Network Management) and local regulatory agencies, including Department of Health and Department of Financial Services.
  • Supports and leads key internal / external provider network audit activities, including annual reviews (exams) and ad-hoc reporting / special projects.
  • Facilitates and coordinates annual planning process for the business unit, focusing on network efficiency / contract compliance strategies.
  • Facilitates identification of leadership's priorities and establishment of goals within the context of a designated journey plan, enabling the design as well as the execution.
  • Develops journey plan and maps to reach goals and educates key stakeholders in use of these tools.
  • Designs and compiles key reporting templates, assisting in the process of ensuring that Empire’s multiple provider networks contain adequate access across all specialty types.
  • Oversees utilization of additional management tools and processes.

Minimum requirements:

Requires a BA/BS in a related field and minimum of 3 years related experience; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.

Preferred skills, capabilities, and experiences:

Project management skills preferred.

Experience working with New York based regulators for provider networks is a plus.

Contract compliance knowledge is strongly preferred.

Auditing background or knowledge is also a plus.
