Schedule: Whatever works for the candidate - prefer evenings and weekend

Location: 100% on site with members - Must reside in the Fayetteville or Fort Bragg area

  • Responsible for providing general psychological care and treatment to patients. Provide non-medical counseling and consultation to military service members and their families, who are experiencing personal and other problems utilizing a short-term solution focused model. Complete intakes, provide monitoring, and case management to conclusion of services.

How you will make an impact (including but are not limited to): 

  • Performs mental status examinations, therapy, and preventive health measures.
  • Reviews psychological diagnostic tests to identify and assess patient's clinical problems and health care needs.
  • Records findings, and formulates a plan and prognosis, based on the patient's condition.
  • Discusses case with other health professionals to prepare a comprehensive patient care plan.
  • Administers or recommends individual therapy or other forms of treatment.
  • Completes all documentation within the EMR as required.
  • Refers patients for consultation or specialized health resources for treatment.
  • Participates in special projects as required to service client organizations and meet performance guarantees.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Requires MS in Social Work, MS in Marriage and Family Therapy, or a PhD in Psychology and minimum of 5 years of experience; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.
  • Current license from the list below in North Carolina is required:
  • Licensed Psychologist
  • Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC)
  • Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC)
  • Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW)
  • Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor (LCMHC)
  • Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT)

Preferred Skills, Capabilities, and Experiences:

  • Experience working with U.S service members and their families or dependents preferred
  • Experience working with Military Personnel highly preferred
  • Experience with onsite, in-person psychotherapy preferred
