Job Title:  Release Train Engineer

***$5000 Sign-on Bonus***

The  Release Train Engineer (RTE)  is the member of the Agile Release Train (ART) team responsible for navigation of ART team activities. This role will facilitate program level processes and execution, escalate impediments, manage risk and help drive program level continuous improvement. 

  • Responsible for planning and facilitating PI Planning readiness via fostering the preparation of the vision and risk management of backlogs. 
  • Ensure that Product Management, Products Owners, and other value stream stakeholders are informed of ART activities to ensure strategic execution alignment. 
  • Establish and document expectations on the Agile Team roles and provide guidance on the Agile processes ensuring the process is adhered to by the client, third party, and supplier provided Development Team(s)
  • Facilitate the Iteration/Sprint Reviews and Demonstrations, ensuring that all parties attend and input to the review and arrange and conduct the team Retrospectives
  • Contributes to strategic planning meetings and provides guidance and expertise on options, risk, cost vs. benefits, and impacts on departmental processes and goals
  • Aggregate and publish team objectives to ensure execution of ART plan.
  • Manage and optimize the flow of activities through sprint and program increments using various ART and Agile tools. 
  • Continue to improve knowledge of ART activities at Elevance Health as well as in industry.
Qualifications
  • Requires an BA/BS degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or related field of study 
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in implementing Agile methodologies; 
  • Or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background. 
  • Agile Release Train (ART) & Framework experience required, specifically SAFe
  • Scaled Agile Framework Certification (SAFe), or other Project Management certification(s) strongly preferred.
  • Business Intelligence software experience highly preferred (Power BI, Domo, Sisense, Qlik Sense)
  • Jira experience a plus 
  • Healthcare claims data experience required
  • 3+ years of experience in Agile techniques such as User Stories, ATDD, TDD, BDD, Continuous Integration, Continuous Testing, Pairing, Automated Testing, Agile Games etc.
