Staff VP, Product Platform

Staff Vice President, Product Platform will lead the platformization of Carelon’s portfolio. Working side –by–side with the Staff Vice President for the Data Platform, the Staff VP, Product Platform will create a platform service catalog that allows Carelon to create and use a common infrastructure, common experiences, and products for all of our product lines. Additionally, this role will lead the center of excellence for product management. Primary duties may include, but are not limited to:

  • Drives end-to-end process excellence for new product innovation, rationalization and prioritization.

  • Translates market, employer and consumer insights into new offerings and programs that are aligned with segment and local market strategies.

  • Develops and maintains multi-year product roadmaps across products and segments.

  • Works with enterprise marketing to develop compelling go-to-market messaging that reflects product value propositions.

  • Facilitates new product and innovation dialogue among segments, iLab and local markets to identify and prioritize opportunities, and pushes new concepts downstream to product development and implementation resources.

  • Frames and answers key design questions across products, markets and segments to improve the company's value proposition in the market.

  • Hires, trains, coaches and evaluates performance of direct reports.


Requires a BA/BS degree and a minimum of 10 years of related experience; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.

Preferred skills and capabilities:


Solid understanding of platform services and related vendor marketplace

Experience with delivering platform services at scale to support analytic, robotic process automation, and end user applications

Experience building a product discipline which includes the use of market research and business modeling to inform strategy, positioning, and delivery.
