The Business Strategy & Execution Director will be responsible for business unit execution and insight work for Carelon’s Advanced Analytics portfolio of companies which are comprised of 5+ P&Ls and span health offerings such as Utilization Management, Specialty Benefits Management, Payment Integrity, Advocacy, and Health Plan Subrogation. The Director supports senior leadership with strong up-front program design, transparent success criteria at kick-off, clear guiding principles, and strong governance/escalation structures.  

How you will make an impact:
•    Understands all aspects of the business and partners with executive leadership to define strategy and success criteria for the future
•    Translates strategy into defined tactics, programs/projects priorities, and timelines and ensures alignment and attainment of enterprise’s strategic plans to turn strategy into reality
•    Propagates execution methods and rolls out approaches that improve execution confidence and reduce risk
•    Provides direct professional support and staffing for strategic initiatives, projects, project teams, and/or external consultants, as needed
•    Translates complex, technical information into presentation-friendly formats including graphical displays to a wide variety of internal and external executive audiences.
•    Proposes opportunities to improve results based on continuous needs assessment.
•    Designs, builds, and facilitates VP+ steering committees and working sessions
•    Documents strategic priorities such as external environment and reports on customer insight research initiatives. 
•    Supports complex, high-profile initiatives, at times multiple initiatives concurrently 
•    Builds and leverages relationships to provide innovative solutions to complex business problems

Minimum Requirements:
•    Requires a BA/BS degree in a related field and a minimum of 10 years of related experience including prior leadership experience and 3 to 5 years of strategic planning; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.

Preferred Skills, Capabilities, and Experiences
•    Master’s degree preferred
•    Ability to travel may be required
•    Strategy/management consulting background preferred
•    Healthcare domain experience on the payor or provider side preferred
•    Program/project set-up, advisory, governance, and management experience
•    Developing and delivering Executive-level communications, as all internal clients are VP+ Leaders

Annual Salary Range*: $130,368 - $162,960

Actual compensation may vary from posting based on geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level.
