Carelon's Product Organization is looking to hire a Director of Product Development. This people leader will design, package, and manage a portfolio of healthcare products and solutions designed for providers, provider systems, and hospitals - all to help them better care for their patients. This portfolio is the Provider Enablement and Value-Based Care Solution Suite. S/he can work remotely from any US location.

S/he will be responsible for directing the development of new products and modifications of existing products for Carelon's commercialization.

  • Oversees strategy and implementation of new products or product changes/enhancements.

  • Reviews, analyzes and makes recommendations on rate actions for existing products.

  • Monitors product performance and the competitive environment.

  • Ensures products meet competitive and legislative needs.

  • Establishes product development policies to guide product development.

  • Monitors product development for compliance.

  • Hires, trains, coaches, counsels, and evaluates performance of direct reports.

Requires a BA/BS degree and a minimum of 8 years of leadership experience; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.

Preferred Skills, Capabilities, and Experiences:

  • Product Development, Management, Go to Market experience for Healthcare Products designed specifically for clinicians, providers, provider groups, and/or hospitals.

  • Experience with Value Based Care models of healthcare and risk agreements.

  • Experience building out a product team.

Annual Salary Range*: $147,252 - $184,065

Actual compensation may vary from posting based on geographic location, work experience, education and/or skill level.
