Responsible for directing sales and retention for large group business for the Indiana Local Sales Plan (account size 50+). Our Large Group business within Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield of Indiana includes a variety of group medical, pharmacy, dental, vision, life and disability plans using SalesForce to track performance. This position has direct responsibility for sales with significant book of business. Primary duties may include but are not limited to: Directs and coordinates account sales activities. Provides leadership and strategic direction to drive and maintain profitable growth and financial goals. Leverage enterprise sales, marketing, account management and compensation plans to support and drive local business success. Establish philanthropic activities in line with parent company’s mission to improve the health of humanity. Hires, trains, coaches, counsels, and evaluates performance of direct reports.

Critical Stakeholders :                    Underwriting, Provider Solutions, Segment Business, Brokers, Client/Customer Community


Requires a BA/BS and a minimum of 10 years of leadership experience; or any combination of education and experience which would provide an equivalent background. Experience within the health insurance industry required. Knowledge of the state market preferred.
