External Financial Reporting Senior

This role contributes to our external financial reporting process and is responsible for the timely and accurate preparation of complex external financial statements and related filings including Form 10-K/Form 10-Qs, annual audited financial statements of subsidiaries, or other financial reports. Exposure to senior leaders in finance and opportunities to work on ad-hoc projects for senior management of a Fortune 20 company. No travel is required.

Locations: Indianapolis, Indiana. Will consider, Atlanta, GA and Norfolk, VA.

Primary duties may include, but are not limited to:

  • Coordinates and prepares footnotes and financial statements disclosures in accordance with the U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Standards (GAAP) and ensures all disclosures are properly supported.

  • Coordinates and interacts with external auditors and provides financial statement related deliverables.

  • Prepares XBRL tagging related to Form 10-K/Form 10-Qs.

  • Assists in the interpretation of new accounting pronouncements.

  • Assists with the research and documentation of technical accounting memos.

  • Prepares presentations for senior management.

  • Assists with the preparation of stock-based compensation, earnings per share and statement of cash flows.

  • Actively contributes to the development and maintenance of finance policies.

  • Assists team members with special projects and other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

Requires BA/BS in finance or accounting required and a minimum of 3-5 years of directly related experience; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with preparation of financial statements in accordance with GAAP.

  • Public accounting experience in auditing highly preferred.

  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or CPA track.

  • High attention to detail, strong technical accounting research skills and familiarity with accounting research tools, excellent communication and organizational skills and the ability to multitask.
