A Compliance Risk Management Intern will be responsible for delivering and executing foundational and strategic compliance responsibilities with consistent excellence that supports the team and management.

How you will make an impact:

  • Supporting the testing of Compliance issue remediation, risk mitigation and control effectiveness for Business or IT processes.

  • Supporting Compliance Audits and Monitoring/Oversight reviews.

  • Reporting, communicating, researching laws, regulations, requirements, regulatory audits and/or exams.

  • Providing analytical support to projects, initiatives, regulatory audits or exams, internal audits, accreditations, on-site reviews, risk assessments.

  • Utilizing systems unique to job functions, including standard-issue software such as Microsoft products; maintaining system documentation, training users of system, contributing to system design, oversight, or maintenance.

  • Applying critical thinking to formulate strategies and concepts that drive results, persuade and influence others, adapt to change, and manage conflict.

Functions OR examples of projects for this role: 

  • Supporting team members in validation/testing the closure of business plans to remediate Compliance issues or mitigate Compliance risks.

  • Supporting the system used to manage the tracking of Compliance Risks and Issues.

  • Supporting team members in Compliance Audits of Business or IT processes.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Actively pursuing a degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Audit, Risk Management, HealthCare Management, Operations Management, Computer and Information Systems, Information Science or other related degrees at an accredited college or university during internship

  • Ability to work 40 hours per week for the duration of the Summer 2023 internship

  • Students must be authorized to work in the U.S. without future visa sponsorship requirements

Preferred Skills, Capabilities and Experiences:

  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office Products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)

  • Excellent Communication skills, both written and oral.

  • Excellent Problem-solving, Analytical, and Organizational skills

  • Excellent Public Speaking and Presentation skills
