The Actuarial Analyst II completes projects and performs complex actuarial studies. This role will be more technical in nature than a standard actuarial role. It will entail working on and assisting in: building Excel based models, VBA programming, PowerQuery, SAS/SQL, R studio, as well as factor development work.

How You Will Make an Impact:

Primary duties may include, but are not limited to:

  • Obtains, verifies, analyzes and models data including risk reporting and forecasting.
  • Coordinating with internal partners to ensure their model and data needs are being met by current processes and if not improving processes until they are sufficient.
  • This is a well rounded technical role and an innovative, passionate and engaged associate will substantially expand their technical skills.

Minimum Requirements:

Requires a BA/BS degree and to have passed a minimum of three Society of Actuaries (SOA) or Casualty Actuarial Society (CAS) actuarial exams and a minimum of 1 year related experience; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.

Preferred Skills, Capabilities and Experiences:

  • Preferred: Advanced Excel model building and Intermediate VBA experience.
  • Desirable skills: Advanced Excel, Intermediate VBA, Beginner/Intermediate PowerQuery, Beginner/Intermediate SAS/SQL, Beginner/Intermediate R studio.

Annual Salary Range*: $71,148 - $88,935

Actual compensation may vary from posting based on geographic location, work experience, education and/or skill level.
