This position will serve as an Associate General Counsel to IngenioRx, a pharmacy benefits manager (PBM) owned by Elevance Health.  This position will provide legal support on a variety of legal matters to the PBM.

Essential duties include, but are not limited to: 

  • Provide legal support in the PBM client contracting process and manage associated legal risks.
  • Develop responses and support for RFP activity and mitigate identified legal and business risks.
  • Provide ongoing legal counsel on a wide range of legal issues impacting the PBM.  
  • Provide legal support in the resolution of disputes and inquiries from customers, subcontractors, and governmental/regulatory agencies.
  • Routinely work on complex problems in which analysis of situations and/or facts require an in-depth evaluation of a range of factors.
  • Monitor PBM regulatory landscape and provide guidance on the interpretation of PBM laws and regulations to the business.
  • Manage multiple, high-profile projects.
  • Serve as a resource for other attorneys and contract manager as well as business clients instructing and advising on technical and tactical issues.
  • Other legal duties and responsibilities as identified by senior management.  


  • Requires a JD; current license to practice law in at least one (1) state
  • 9 years of specific industry and/or technical legal experience post licensure; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background
  • Detailed oriented, client focused and able to work in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Skills, Capabilities, and Experience:

  • A minimum of 3 years of PBM, pharmacy or healthcare experience
