CareMore Medical Officer I

Location: CA-Upland, 141 W Foothill Boulevard.

Supervisory physician role responsible for providing clinical leadership, delivering quality care, contributing to market strategy, and providing clinical oversight in one or more domains within the market. This hybrid role of care delivery and management is responsible for input in developing performance metrics, monitoring and managing clinical staff, coordinating with non-clinical staff and leaders within the market, and performing administrative work.

How you will make an impact:

  • Partners with market leadership in developing and executing comprehensive and holistic care through coordinated clinical programs, improving clinical excellence and quality, and/or providing clinical oversight of care in one or more domains.

  • Provides patient care in one or more areas as a physician on a daily basis.  This may include clinic, post-acute, independent or assisted living facilities, or the hospital setting both in person and virtually.

  • Collaborates with the network team and local providers including hospitals, post-acute facilities, specialists, and care management teams to optimize patient care.

  • Shares night and weekend call as scheduled.

  • Provides input, improves, and administers training practices and materials.

  • Hires, trains, coaches, counsels, and evaluates performance of direct reports.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Requires MD or DO and completion of residency such as Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, Pediatrics, or Geriatrics.

  • Requires current unrestricted medical licensure in applicable state(s) and board eligibility or board certification.

  • DEA license required.

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as a practicing physician in primary care, hospital medicine or specialty practice.

  • For CareMore business units, satisfactory completion of a Tuberculosis test is a requirement for this position.

Preferred Requirements:

  • Experience in value-based care delivery.
