A  Medicare Service Graduate Intern will be responsible for outlining a process flow of top call drivers in a Medicare & GRS call center. This position requires the ability to work independently towards deadlines in a complex matrixed environment. The successful candidate will be able to solve problems and come up with creative solutions, thinking outside the box, while working with stakeholders and conducting interviews, call listening sessions and sorting through data to paint a clear picture of a member’s journey, the obstacles they encounter along the way and proposing solutions for gaps and pain points.

How you will make an impact:

  • Developing & analyzing process flow for top call drivers in a Medicare contact center

  • Outlining gaps in a clear and concise format detailing existing processes, gaps, and potential solutions & process flow recommendations

  • Interfacing with a variety of stakeholders including contact center directors, managers, and front-line associates both in and outside of the contact center, as appropriate

  • Understanding compliance related concerns within the call process flow

  • Developing an understanding and articulate different modified approaches to solve for first call resolution, issue resolution & customer satisfaction

  • Navigating internal systems to listen to live and recorded calls, understand the root cause of the call and include in high level analysis / recommendations

  • Other duties as assigned

Functions OR examples of projects for this role: 

  • May assist with process mapping inbound calls to the Medicare & GRS contact center

  • May assist with various CMS compliance initiatives

  • May assist with other projects, as needed

Minimum Requirements:

  • Actively pursuing a master’s degree in Business, Industrial/Organizational Psychology, Organizational Development, Human Resources Management, or other related degrees at an accredited college or university

  • Students must be authorized to work in the U.S. without future visa sponsorship requirements

  • Ability to work 40 hours per week for the duration of the summer internship program

Preferred Skills, Capabilities and Experiences:

  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office Products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)

  • Excellent Communication skills, both written and oral.

  • Excellent Problem-solving, Analytical, and Organizational skills

  • Excellent Public Speaking and Presentation skills
