Enterprise Strategy Internship - Graduate

An Enterprise Strategy Intern will be responsible for supporting Elevance Health’s Chief Strategy Officer and members of the Enterprise Strategy Team as they work across the business to execute large and small CEO and Senior Leadership Team priorities that span Elevance Health’s business units.

How you will make an impact:

  • Working as part of a team to execute and deliver consulting projects that are focused on:

    • Partnering with leaders across the organization to help set overall corporate direction and develop business plans and strategies.

    • Partnering with business owners to identify and scope innovative growth and efficiency opportunities to achieve performance targets and business goals.

    • Assessing strategic options in the context of overall corporate direction, financial targets, and market needs.

    • Coordinating activities across the organization to ensure alignment of business strategies, metrics, KPIs, and more.

  • Leading select deliverables and parts of the consulting projects, including but not limited to:

    • Assessing current environment, external factors, and competitive landscape.

    • Developing and analyzing business performance reports (e.g., claims data, provider data, utilization data): providing notations of performance deviations and anomalies.

    • Conducting predictive modeling and translating insights that are easy to digest and inform large and small operational decisions.

    • Creating and maintaining databases to track and analyze business and related performance.

  • Performing other functions as requested

Functions for this role:

  • Strategy conceptualization, alignment and execution, competitive intelligence, market analytics, communication, collaboration within highly matrixed organization, project management, stakeholder management, discretion

Minimum Requirements:

  • Actively pursuing a graduate degree in Public Health, Healthcare Administration, or other business-related degree at an accredited college or university during internship

  • Demonstrates basic, broad understanding of key healthcare industry concepts

  • Interest to specialize and advance career in Strategy, Consulting, Analytics, Marketing, Organizational Effectiveness

Preferred Skills, Capabilities and Experiences:

  • Advanced computer skills with an emphasis on PowerPoint and Excel

  • Highly proficient in analytics, communication, leadership, and presentations

  • Project management experience or education preferred

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

  • Excellent interpersonal skills with a willingness to be flexible and accept change
