Staff VP Growth (Payment Integrity)

We are currently seeking a Staff Vice President PI Commercial Growth who will lead and develop Carelon’s Payment Integrity (PI) external growth strategy.

This role is responsible for identification and acquisition of new business that will meet the company’s revenue and profitability goals.  Primary duties and responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • Identify market opportunities that resonate with our clients, understand the competitive landscape, set goals, and drive product vision and profitability. 

  • Translate external input into product requirements for Carelon and boldly influence senior management and internal cross-functional teams to rally around common cause to offer innovative products to capture market-share.

  • Craft and develop solutions to business challenges by communicating requirements to key partners (for example, Business leaders, Sales/Marketing, Product, Digital); engage with key partners to deliver and support initiatives; and communicate status/insights related to product performance to stakeholders. 

  • Ensure product activities are directly aligned with the Carelon business plan and financial objectives: serving as the business solution consultant in strong partnership with Sales and Product.

  • Develop and enhance our PI product offerings by driving product roadmaps; gathering and documenting requirements; prioritizing product features; executing on user and business acceptance criteria; and influencing the roll out of product features.

  • Develop relationships with key stakeholders to support plans and initiatives to meet customer and business needs.   

  • Identify clearly and communicate objectives, build accountability for and measure progress in achieving results; and address improvement opportunities that promote continuous learning & discovery. 

  • Ensure strong pipeline to expand product-line and product usage. 

  • Oversee client operations including implementation and on-going performance improvement. 

  • Provide supervision and development opportunities for a team of business leaders through training; mentoring; assigning duties; and providing recognition.

Key Responsibilities

  • Developing growth strategy to drive $70M revenue

  • Building innovative PI solutions that drive efficient growth for clients

  • Translating proven single-client solutions into industry leading external product offerings

  • Developing compelling business cases to demonstrate ROI for product investment

  • Defining compelling client pricing models to capture market

  • Tuning our product to deliver continuous improvement for higher client ROI

  • Creating a supportive culture that builds high-performance growth oriented team


Requires a BA/BS degree and a minimum of 10 years of related experience; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background. MBA or MHA preferred.

  • Deep understanding of Payment Integrity market and client needs and existing pain points.

  • Strong communication skills for articulating strategy and roadmap, and working with leaders both within the company as well as externally with clients.

  • Operate with a data-driven mindset to drive results.

  • Great team player and ability to work cross functionally.
