Description
This Business Analyst Intern will be responsible for supporting our Provider Insights (Pi) team in identifying and addressing pivotal business and organizational opportunities by using data analysis. The selected candidate will work side by side with Pi team in talking with real users to identify their analytical needs and ideal solutions. The intern will learn about healthcare reporting methodologies and enterprise product development processes.
This is a hybrid opportunity based out of our New York, New York office. This internship will run for 10 weeks (June 5th-August 11th) on a full-time, or 40 hours per week schedule.
How you will make an impact:

Developing dashboards while working closely with Pi management on a new product launch

Providing analytic consultation on business use cases and new product offerings

Understanding report requirements, communicates technical complexity and feasibility, and provides recommendations for solutions and implementation

Developing high quality visualization, analytics, and reports.

Communicating status updates to the team on a frequent basis

Creating technical documentation and supporting Product Managers with end-user training and documentation
Minimum Requirements:
-
Must be enrolled fulltime at an accredited college or university during the internship

Pursuing a graduate degree (Master’s/MBA) in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Data Science, Informatics, or related major
Preferred Skills, Capabilities and Experiences:
-
Experience with Open Source or Commercial visualization tools (i.e., Tableau) is greatly preferred

SQL, SAS, R, Python programming experience is greatly preferred

Experience with relational databases and knowledge of query tools is greatly preferred

The experience/ability to manipulate large sets of data is greatly preferred

Excellent Problem-solving, Analytical, and Organizational skills

Excellent Communication skills, both written and oral.

Familiarity with Microsoft Office Products
