How you will make an impact:

Primary responsibilities for the Experience Design Intern   may include:

  • Collect and analyze consumer behavior information through ethnography, surveys, benchmark studies, focus groups, and direct consumer interaction

  • Help translate business requirements, consumer needs, and technical capabilities into consumer experiences that are easy-to-navigate and engaging

  • Analyze statistical data, create visual representations, and identify actionable, data-driven recommendations

  • Collaborate with business partners and key stakeholders on information gathering and program/project status reporting

  • Assist in preparation of reports and communications for business unit leadership

Examples of previous projects for this role:  

  • Conducted market research on Gen Z healthcare consumer experience preferences, developed and administered survey to validate Gen Z preferences, and proposed recommendations for redesign of Welcome Experience for this demographic of customers

  • Analyzed data from customer experience survey, identified attributes of exceptional customer experiences, developed customer experience exemplars, and framed application recommendations for human experience design team

  • Developed pilot program for Individual line-of-business in which executives or leadership team members would connect with customers to gather consumer experience feedback and initiate experience or process redesign


  • Pursuing an undergraduate degree at an accredited college or university with a target graduation date between May 2023 and May 2024 in one of the following fields: UX/UI Design, Human Computer Interaction, Interaction Design, Graphics Design, Behavioral Economics, Psychology, Anthropology, or equivalent discipline

  • Available to work 40 hours per week June 5th to August 11th

  • Enrolled fulltime at an accredited college or university during internship

  • Students must be authorized to work in the U.S. without future visa sponsorship requirements

Preferred Skills (any combination of the following):

  • Portfolio of materials demonstrating past consumer experience design projects (academic or prior work projects acceptable)

  • Ability to conduct market research and synthesize findings into recommendations

  • Strong statistical data analysis and data visualization skills

  • Project coordination, including deliverable/milestone tracking, risk management reporting, and status update reporting preferred

  • Graphic design, print design or motion/video design experience a plus

  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills; ability to communicate complex concepts clearly to varied audiences

  • Ability to work in a collaborative team environment as well as independently

  • High level of competence with MS Excel and MS PowerPoint required

  • Experience with Adobe Creative Suite, Sketch, Miro/Mural preferred
