A Medicaid Operations Analyst Intern will be responsible for research, analysis, documentation, and coordination of the resolution of operations projects for the Health Plan. Working directly with leadership and cross-functional teams, the Medicaid Operations Analyst will support systems migrations, whole health implementation, and network initiatives in a collaborative environment.

  • Assist in our continuous growth efforts by supporting the provider services team in the daily activity such as roster management and overall learning and supporting performance with providers. 
  • Whole Person Health - support network initiatives related to whole health workstream tactics and outcomes. 
  • Network Development – contracting with physicians to fill gaps and the intern can support this by researching needed physicians and chasing down contracts. 

Functions OR examples of projects for this role: 

  • Research, analyze, document, and coordinate the resolution of operations issues for the Health Plan
  • Perform data analysis
  • Manage implementations and system configurations
  • Support project management and operations excellence

Minimum Requirements:

  • Actively pursuing an undergraduate degree in Public Health, Public Policy, Healthcare Administration, Health Operations Management, or Business Administration or similar degree program at an accredited college/university
  • Ability to work 40 hours per week during the duration of the summer internship program
  • Students must be authorized to work in the U.S. without future visa sponsorship requirements

Preferred Skills, Capabilities and Experiences:

  • Comfortable in a fast-paced environment and a quick learner as Training and Licensing will be provided.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office Products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
  • Excellent Communication skills, both written and oral.
  • Excellent Problem-solving, Analytical, and Organizational skills
  • Excellent Public Speaking and Presentation skills
