Location: Must live within commutable distance to Elevance office. This is a hybrid remote role – must be able to go into the office at least 1x per week. Mason, Ohio area highly preferred. Must reside in EST state.

The Digital UX Designer works with our in-house design and writing teams to provide support in developing landing pages and microsites for our internal clients as well as producing SFMC and Outlook email messaging materials. The position requires fluency in HTML, CSS and Javascript, great understanding of modern development standards, frameworks while having strong design aesthetic. The UX Designer may also assist other digital designers with UX development, graphic preparation and site evaluations/reviews as needed. Analytical thinking, proven testing methodologies and troubleshooting skills are also a must for the position. Translates comps and wireframes into semantically correct web templates. Integrating HTML templates and client-side code with server-side applications and content management systems to create functional and aesthetically pleasing user experiences that integrate cleanly into our existing systems and adhere to our design standards. Included responsible for SIT and UAT. Test, debug and troubleshoot web coding to ensure that code is deployable and functional. Develop responsive experiences for a variety of browsers, operating systems, and screen sizes to create functional and aesthetically pleasing user experience for a variety of platforms that our users interact. best practices and knowledge of internal or external business issues to improve products or services. Effectively collaborates with IT counterparts in order to make joint decisions in the best interest of the product. Ensure solutions are sound while adhere to budget, timelines and design quality standards. 

Candidates must be able to work within tight timeframes and perform well in a cross functioning, multi-department team environment.

Primary duties may include, but are not limited to:

  • Strong design aesthetic
  • Expertise in HTML, CSS, Javascript and jQuery is essential
  • Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Content Builder and ampscript knowledge a plus
  • Experience with 508 compliance and regulations
  • Responsive development practices are essential
  • Experience in AngularJS, ReactJS, NodeJS and related technologies are a plus
  • Video experience in Adobe After Effects and Adobe Premiere a huge plus

Minimum Requirements

  • Requires a BA/BS in a design discipline and minimum of 5 years’ experience, including minimum of 3 years working in a consumer facing design capacity; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Masters preferred.
