Director, Product Portfolio Management and Governance

Reporting to the VP, Product and Digital Strategy and as a member of the Product and Digital Strategy leadership team, this position provides leadership and Governance of the full Product Development Portfolio for IngenioRx. The Director will lead a Product Project Management Office as well as a Product Lifecycle Management Center of Excellence. The Governance leader is responsible to align all Product development initiatives, managed within PLM best practices, and perform leadership of the Product Intake and Steering Committees that determines the prioritization and business decisions for the annual product/solutions roadmap, oversight of the planning, budgeting and management of the strategic product portfolio process.

This position engages significantly with matrixed resources (IRx Portfolio Governance partners, Clinical, Operations, Pricing, Product, IT, other enterprise product partners, etc.) that collaborate to develop, produce, pilot, implement, and service new products. Primary interfaces the Product and Digital Strategy leadership team, Commercial Medical and Carelon Services Product leads/leadership, Executives across IngenioRx and cross enterprise partners, Portfolio Governance.

Primary Responsibilities

· Lead a team of three direct reports initially as a start up approach for PMO and PLM/portfolio Governance.

· Establish a Product Project Management Office to focus on key Blue Chip priorities, expanding capacity beyond enterprise portfolio funded initiatives.

· Establish and Lead a Steering Committee and Governance approach for all product portfolio initiatives, liaising with the overarching IngenioRx portfolio team, creating visibility into issues, risks, decisions and other needs to ensure on time and on budget execution excellence.

· Partner and create a collaborative process with the Commercial Product team, aligning governance and PLM processes with Commercial Medical and Carelon PLM processes to ensure successful delivery with the Markets.

· Develop a repeatable portfolio management operating model and workflow that can guide product teams through the portfolio process for both enterprise and/or self funded initiatives ensuring all critical dates are met to aid in successful resource allocation.

· Ensure visibility of Product operations issue management needs during all phases of PLM for product development and operationalization and client implementations

· Develop strong collaborative relationships with all key stakeholders critical to the successful launch of differentiating products and services across Pharmacy Sales/Account Directors, and all IngenioRx cross functional partners/resources that support the PBM business

· Drive Talent Development and cultural expectations to recruit, inspire and retain high performing staff, deepening the talent bench and leading succession planning.

· Partner with the Carelon and CSBD COE’s to standardize PLM best practices and system support

· Partner with the Learning and Development team to develop consultative and business acumen skills for the product management organization related to the PLM Process and intersection with other Process owners across key cross matrix partners.

Requires a BA/BS in a related field and minimum of 7 years project/program management experience, in addition to minimum of 4 years management experience; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.

Highly preferred skills and experience:

-7+ years of experience in general business management, P&L accountability, governance/PMO, and strategic planning

-Experience leading and managing an operating model/workflow for product/service development and Project Management

-Experience with healthcare and pharmacy benefit management

-Experience leading cross functional initiatives and executing within a large matrixed organization, building relationships at multiple levels to achieve objectives and aligned value

-Driver of accountability to ensure key stakeholders deliver on time, within budget and with service excellence

-PMI/ PMP (Project Management Professional) preferred. MBA, IIBA CBAP (Certified Business Analysis Professional) or Six Sigma Black Belt Certification preferred.

-Strong organizational skills and disciplined practice towards accountable ownership and solutions excellence

-Successful experience developing and executing short and long-term strategic growth plans

-Excellent executive level communication skills, both verbal and written

-Successful experience presenting to C-suite leadership

-Health Care Operations acumen

For candidates working in person or remotely in the below locations, the salary* range for this specific position is $124,000 to $223,000
