Beacon Health Option’s External Growth and Sales team is looking for an experienced Head of Employer Growth . This role is accountable for the development, execution and management of sales plans and strategies to drive revenue growth through business development and prospecting, RFP response and proposal development, deal negotiation, and deal closing for the Employer business segment covering the US Market. The Employer business focuses on large national, public sector, and mid-sized employers, with a portfolio of EAP and MHSUD products.
-Builds and maintains a strong business relationships with potential customers to meet or exceed established Employer sales targets for a territory. Develops close professional relationships with producers / brokers / consultants.
-Identifies and cultivates prospective customers for the Beacon Behavioral Health Employer products.
-Grows and maintains a robust pipeline of broker and employer opportunities, driving lead generation, management, and tracking.
-Creates and delivers effective sales presentations to employer groups and brokers to increase awareness and promote sales.
-Executes sales presentations and discussions at all levels of potential customer organization.
-Drives leads through to deal closure including RFP or proposal development and response.
-Work closely and collaboratively across the organization with leaders in other business units, Marketing, Product Management and Operations.
- Maintains knowledge on trends and legislation and impact on business growth in the territory.
-Manages performance and the pipeline using SalesForce. Creates additional SalesForce reporting as needed.
Requires a BS/BA degree in related field with a minimum of 10 years related experience to include senior sales experience and a minimum of 3 years experience in strategic planning; or any combination of education and experience which would provide an equivalent background.
Highly preferred skills and experiences:
-8+ years’ sales experience, preferably in healthcare leading an employer sales or account management team, experience with self-funded groups, and broker relationships and experience.
-Experience selling EAP (Employee Assistance Programs) and MHSUD (Mental Health Substance Abuse Disorder) products. Experience in the behavioral healthcare and mental healthcare domain.
-Proven track record in attaining and exceeding sales targets.
-Strong relationship skills and demonstrated success prospecting and working with customers at all levels within an organization
-Demonstrates strong relationship management skills with both internal (e.g. management, peers and colleagues) and external clients.
-Must be able to work independently with the ability to collaborate across the sales team with excellent organization skills and prioritization of workload.
-Ability to successfully manage multiple customers and deals at different stages.
-Excellent analytical abilities, critical thinking and organizational skills.
-Must conduct business with a high degree of integrity.
-Responsible for driving growth by directing sales and retention strategy for the health services which Carelon offers as a high value proposition for its customers.
For candidates working in person or remotely in the below locations, the salary* range for this specific position is $142,000 to $256,00
