Research Consulting Intern

This Research Consulting Intern  will be responsible for supporting our Domain Strategy and Planning team in researching prospective and retrospective health services, providing deliverables to inform strategy, and economic research activities under the direction of the project leads for Elevance Health champions.

How you will make an impact:

  • Supporting research activities in the following areas: research designs, methodologies, analytical techniques, and reporting (with respect to statistical results)

  • Collaborating with the project managers to support the research functions that bring high quality reports deliverables, presentations, and other milestones to fruition

  • Utilizing industry-standard health economic analytical and statistical techniques

Priority Research Areas Include:

  • Supporting end-to-end domain work to inform clinical strategies

  • Performing evaluations of programs and policies to improve health holistically

  • Performing evaluations of policies to encourage efficient and effective health care use, social determinants of health/health related social needs, and digital health solutions

Minimum Requirements:

  • Requires a MS, MPH, or PharmD in health sciences or related field; 1 year of experience in health service research, epidemiology, biostatistics, or a related field; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.

  • Proficient in statistical software, including SAS, STATA, R, and/or Python.

  • Currently enrolled in a relevant program of study at an accredited college/university.

Preferred Skills, Capabilities and Experiences:

  • Managed care, PBM, pharmaceutical, or related sector experience preferred

  • Proficient in R or Python

  • Proficient in SQL or other data management tools.

  • Experience in creating analytic datasets using big data in complex structure

  • Excellent Communication skills, both written and oral

  • Excellent Problem-solving, Analytical, and Organizational skills
