Title :  Actuarial Analyst III

Location: Prefer Atlanta, GA; candidate not required to reside in posted location

The Actuarial Analyst III completes very diverse and complicated projects and performs very complex actuarial studies.

How you will make an impact:
•    Use analytical tools to perform sophisticated trend analytics for Commercial, Medicaid, and Medicare business and improve analytical reporting to identify meaningful trend drivers with linkage to financial results.
•    Identify cost of care savings opportunities by analyzing health claim patterns and recommend strategies for policy changes and claim's system changes to pursue cost savings. 
•    Act as consultant to internal customers that include medical directors, utilization management staff, finance personnel, and contract negotiators. Be an active and knowledgeable participant in discussions.
•    Analyzes and implements risk contracts including conducting experience analyses, pricing, filing and settlement work; and prepares management reports supporting new capitation initiatives. 
•    Assists in training of actuarial trainees, analysts and specialists. 
•    Coordinates/directs special actuarial projects.

Minimum Requirements:
•    Requires a BA/BS and to have passed a minimum of four Society of Actuaries (SOA) actuarial exams and a minimum of 3 years related experience; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.

Preferred skills, capabilities, and experiences: 
•    An understanding of data warehouse, data structures, and data flows is preferred. 
•    Knowledge of standard Business Information tools and programming/query languages such as SAS/SQL is preferred.  
•    Excellent communication skills.
