Staff VP Provider Experience

NGS Staff Vice President of Provider Experience is responsible for leading and directing the NGS provider experience. The Staff Vice President establishes long-range goals, objectives, and operational strategies; monitors financial and operational performance; and manages activities of operational Directors and their respective functions.  Represents NGS to the government and external agencies. Oversight functions include provider enrollment, call center, audit and reimbursement, and outreach and education. Role reports to the NGS Vice President and Chief Operating Officer. 

Primary duties may include, but are not limited to:

  • Oversees management of operational activities

  • Develops and executes on a strategic plan for operations

  • Ensures that departmental decisions and project plans for staffing, system enhancements and operational efficiencies are in line with the organizational strategy and vision.

  • Develops, implements, and monitors processes, policies, and procedures to optimize work processes, maximize efficiencies

  • Identifies, recommends, and implements new processes, technologies, and systems to improve and streamline organizational processes

  • Embraces a rapid, iterative approach to decision making and solutions, work across teams to promote collaboration and remove unnecessary steps or barriers that stand in way of progress

  • Responsible for budget oversight and monitoring, tracking, and evaluating factors that could impact achievement of fiscal and performance goals.

  • Ensures compliance with corporate, state, and regulatory requirements such as FAR guidelines and SOW requirements.

  • Cultivates and drives high performing teams to execute and manage operations.

  • Communicates organizational performance effectively with customers and executive leadership.

  • Hires, trains, coaches, counsels, and evaluates performance of direct reports and the greater operations organization.


Requires a BA/BS and minimum of 10 years management experience, including minimum of 5 years strategic planning or vendor management experience; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.

Preferred Capabilities, Skills and Experiences:

  • Professional/leadership experience within provider enrollment, provider call center, audit and reimbursement strongly preferred.

  • At least 10 years of industry-related experience including three years in upper management.

  • Extensive leadership experience in the healthcare industry with an emphasis on Medicare.

  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills.

  • Solid track record of hiring and developing talent and preparing associates for roles of broader and greater responsibility.

  • Passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving customer and associate experiences
