Carelon Global Solutions is hiring a Director of Client Support – Carelon Global Solutions . The Director of Client Support will act as a Single Point of Contact for a Health Management BPO/ITO organization that provides services to customers who outsource a wide variety of health management related functions.

The individual will have dual responsibilities:

  • Maintaining and nurturing existing relationship(s), while simultaneously looking for ways to expand those, and
  • Building relationships within the client organization to identify potential existing and new ways to expand the client-Carelon Global Solutions relationship and help secure additional business opportunities for Carelon Global Solutions.

Position overview:

This role will serve as the domain expert for the client(s) and will partner with delivery leadership to be a single point of contact for client executives.  The Director will be expected to lead / co-chair client meetings and will maintain awareness of current and future clients needs so that he or she may constantly be prepared to offer clients Carelon’s value proposition and the breadth and depth of global operations capabilities.  This role will be responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with business stakeholders and prospects to address operational efficiencies and support business growth.  On occasion, the individual may also be asked to help create opportunities for revenue growth with existing as well as new external clients, including developing business strategy, researching emerging market solutions, developing, and launching new service offerings to existing and new customers.  This high-performing individual contributor is the conduit between our external clients, business stakeholders, and Carelon Global Solutions’ global delivery teams.  This role will be the primary representative of Carelon Global Solutions to one or more external facing clients.  

How you will make an impact:

  • Partner with global operations teams to proactively identify operational efficiencies and support segment growth initiatives and serve as a liaison to the onshore Elevance Health / Carelon operations leadership.
  • Execute strategic sales and tactical plans by consulting with key decision makers and operational stakeholders in the region. 
  • Assist in the development of recommendations for outcomes-based savings and revenue opportunities. 
  • Assist operations with due diligence, decision making and problem solving of new ideas and improvements to existing processes, practices, policies and guidelines.
  • Work closely across growth partners (marketing, underwriting, pricing, sales effectiveness) to develop and implement strategies in support of the global operations teams.
  • Assist in driving vision and strategy, road map development and refinement, sales enablement, and product lifecycle.
  • Offer solutions to complex business problems where analysis of situations requires an in-depth knowledge of current Carelon Global Solutions BPO service offerings and how they can be leveraged to meet and / or exceed potential client’s organizational objectives.
  • Drive successful delivery of outsourcing services to existing clients and represent Carelon Global Solutions to the outside market, including customers, partners, and analysts.
  • Responsible for creating strong working relationships and influence across Carelon Global Solutions, Carelon and Elevance leadership, product management, sales, marketing, BPO Operations, and other functional groups to execute product strategy.
  • Research business opportunities and BPO market industry trends to create and / or strengthen existing growth strategies for BPO.
  • Work with functional teams across the enterprise to discuss issues and provide solutions related to service, and demand management.
  • This is a remote role with the periodic national travel and the occasional international travel (1-2x/year).


Minimum Requirements:

  • Requires a BA/BS and a minimum of 5 years of sales experience within the healthcare field; or any combination of education and experience which would provide an equivalent background.


Preferred Skills, Capabilities, and Experiences:

  • Strong knowledge and experience of health care operations, BPO service operations, and implementation and delivery as well as potential health management BPOs and market trends.
  • Able to effectively support and prioritize competing demands from multiple clients in a fast-paced environment and is adept at managing direct relationships with a wide variety of business stakeholders and partners.
  • Experience and knowledge in healthcare product management supporting large employers highly preferred.
  • At least 8+ years health management / technology oriented BPO solution selling experience and recent global account management experience, for complex health management / technology-oriented client accounts.
  • Strong ability to navigate a client organization and develop key points of contact in multiple departments and multiple levels of leadership.
  • Successful quota attainment year over year and successful experience growing a client portfolio.
  • High aptitude for cross-functional collaboration and cross-functional influence, including working with cross border sales teams.
  • A strategic thinker and a meticulous, detail-orientated operator with proven track record of success.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills with accomplished record of quickly building credibility both internally and externally.
  • Strong understanding of market-leading practices, competitive intelligence, and cutting-edge innovation in the health management BPO market.
  • Experience interacting confidently with senior management, as a subject matter expert and comfortable with influencing decision-making.
  • Excellent written, oral, presentation and interpersonal communication skills with the proven ability to negotiate expectations between multiple parties. 
  • Mastery of Microsoft Office products, most notably Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, Outlook, and Word.
  • MBA preferred.

For candidates working in person or remotely in the below locations, the salary* range for this specific position is $123,520 to $185,280.
