Business Information Analyst II
This position operates on a Flex 1 schedule, reporting to their local Pulse Point 0-3 times a month.
Responsible for business intelligence reports for Health Plan clients and internal management as well as KPI dashboards. This position is responsible for serving as an expert in data analysis, reporting, dashboard design and data visualization.
Primary duties may include, but are not limited to:
Develop simple reports and dashboards and modification of existing reports and dashboards.
Assist in the design of dashboards and data visualizations to enhance business understanding.
Engage stakeholders to understand and document business requirements.
Write technical requirements for application, data warehouse and reporting teams with guidance from more experienced team members.
Explore data contained in databases to identify the combination of tables, fields, and business logic needed, in order to construct reports that satisfy customer requirements.
Serve as on-duty staff, sharing rotation with other team members, ensuring that scheduled reports run in a timely manner and user requests and questions are answered.
Creates and maintains databases to track business performance.
Analyzes data and summarizes performance using summary statistical procedures.
Develops and analyzes business performance reports and provides notations of performance deviations and anomalies.
May require taking business issue and devising best way to develop appropriate diagnostic and/or tracking data that will translate business requirements into usable decision support tools.
Requires a BS/BA degree in related field and a minimum of 2 years related operational and/or data analysis experience, experience in database structures, and standard query and reporting tools; or any combination of education and experience which would provide an equivalent background.
The successful candidate will have the following preferred qualifications:
Experience in database structures, and standard query and reporting tools are preferred.
Experience with enterprise reporting tools, specifically Tableau, SSRS, and Business Objects preferred.
Knowledge of SQL, including SQL Server or similar RDBMS system preferred.
Experience with relational databases and an ability to manipulate large sets of data preferred.
Understanding of ETL and Data Warehousing concepts preferred.
For candidates working in person or remotely in the below locations, the salary* range for this specific position is $60,640 to $109,152.
