Interplan Plan Manager - InterPlan Management

Location: Aligned to an Elevance Health office, but eligible to work remotely.

Responsible for partnering with company partner Blue Plans to negotiate all custom BlueCard pricing assigned Control and Host accounts.

How you will make an impact:    

  • Identifies opportunities to deliver meaningful, measurable Control Expense savings and improve Host Revenue position.

  • Serves as single point of contact for assigned Host book of business, handling multi-state plans and those with more complex or undeveloped pricing processes.

  • Coordinates the relationship and successfully negotiates with assigned plans.

  • Develops, negotiates and implements BlueCard pricing strategies with all non-CHP Plans.

  • Engages appropriate internal resources to ensure timely and successful completion of all requests and issues.

  • Analyzes and coordinates financial reconciliations, ensuring the financial and procedural integrity of standard financial contracts between the company and the Blue Plans.

  • Ensures corporate compliance with BCBSA and Consortium policies and procedures.

Minimum Requirements: 

Requires a BA/BS in Business, Finance, Actuary, Sales; minimum of 5 years of experience in the Healthcare Industry; minimum 3 years of National Accounts Business experience within the Blue System; or any combination of education and experience which would provide an equivalent background.

Preferred Skills, Capabilities, and Experiences: 

  • Experience with BlueCard Policy and Procedures, Consortium Policy and Procedures and Plan Profiles preferred.

  • Healthcare experience, most notably in Blue Cross Blue Shield Plans and BlueCard Policy and Procedures is highly preferred.

  • Experience with determining root cause analysis and identifying countermeasures to resolve issues strongly preferred.

  • Excellent written, oral, presentation and interpersonal communication skills with the proven ability to negotiate expectations between multiple parties preferred. 

  • Experience in business/product/network development and/or marketing highly preferred.

  • Proven ability in time management and effective follow-up skills in a fast paced and high demand environment preferred.

  • Flexibility with assisting with various team tasks highly preferred.

  • Mastery of Microsoft Office products, most notably Teams, Excel, PowerPoint, Access and SharePoint platforms highly preferred.

For candidates working in person or remotely in the below locations, the salary* range for this specific position is $75,440 to $135,792
