Responsible for supporting the closing, reconciling, analysis and reporting of the general ledger for the company’s investment portfolio.
Primary duties may include, but are not limited to:
- Completes highly complex account reconciliation and journal entries
- Prepares internal and external monthly, quarterly and annual financial reporting and analysis
- Verifies the integrity of monthly results by completing various analyses and interpreting the data
- Responsible for initiation and resolution of complex accounting problems requiring technical expertise
- Mentor, train, and coach external contractors aiding in the close process.
- May participate in research, interpretation and implementation of GAAP and Statutory technical guidance related to the investment portfolio.
Minimum Requirements:
- Requires a BA/BS in Accounting or Finance and a minimum of 2 - 4 years previous accounting experience; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.
- U.S. Citizenship is required for employment within Trust Solutions.
Preferred Requirements:
- Previous work experience with month ends close processes, account reconciliation and statutory accounting principles preferred.
- CPA, CMA, or MBA preferred.
- Comfort with researching, interpreting and implementing GAAP and Statutory technical guidance preferred.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills preferred.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite preferred.
- Ability to work independently and innovatively preferred.
