Carelon's Product Platform team is looking to hire a Director of Product Platform for their Utilization Management platform . This People Leader will lead a team of product owners and business analysts to build out our UM platform. S/he will look across Elevance Health, Carelon, and the external ecosystem to identify, consolidate, and productize this UM platform to deliver consistent experiences, operations, and product capabilities.
Responsible for directing the development and implementation of new products and modifications of existing products. Primary duties may include, but are not limited to: Oversees strategy and implementation of new products or product changes/enhancements. Reviews, analyzes and makes recommendations on transformation of existing products with forward thinking strategies. Investigates market opportunities and effect on market for present products. Determines customer needs and preferences through research and analysis of industry technology, current processes and other methods. Monitors product performance and the competitive environment by benefit design, market segment and sub region. Ensures products meet competitive and legislative needs. Supports the development of short and long term strategic product promotions in support of market, sales and profitability objectives. Identifies system needs to support short and long term product strategy. Establishes product development policies to guide product development. Monitors product development for compliance. Hires, trains, coaches, counsels, and evaluates performance of direct reports.
Requires a BA/BS degree and a minimum of 7 years of related experience; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.
Highly preferred skills and experiences:
- Experience must include business product management including product implementation, platform product management, product lifecycle management, value generation, working with technology product management, working with Enterprise/IT Architecture teams, Data and Analytics teams, and Development/Engineering teams in leading large platform projects.
- Healthcare experience preferred, specifically with Utilization Management UM platforms and Prior Authorization PA platforms.
For candidates working in person or remotely in the below locations, the salary* range for this specific position is $129,680 to $233,424
