Systems Analyst Sr
Location : Northern VA, Baltimore, MD or Washington, DC. This position will work a hybrid model (remote and office). The ideal candidate will live within 50 miles of one of our Elevance Health PulsePoint locations.
Systems Analyst Sr will be responsible for defining and managing the scope of business systems projects.
Primary duties :

Participate in and lead process of deriving functional and non-functional requirements of a system and acts as a liaison between the business and IT.

Engage with the business and product owners to gather and analyze requirements to define solutions that deliver outstanding value to our customers
-
Assists in the translation of the business requirements into implementation details and ensures design meets performance, usability, reliability and scalability requirements in addition to the functional requirements.

Collaborate and assist quality team for creation and execution of feature test cases and ensures feature testing effectively validates that the system meets the functional and non-functional requirements.

Work closely with the development team and QA analysts to ensure solutions being delivered meet the needs of the business and our customers

Develop user stories, acceptance criteria and screen mockups that effectively communicate requirements to the rest of the development team

Participate in sprint ceremonies such as backlog grooming, sprint planning, daily standups, and retrospectives. Play an active role in the continuous improvement of our software delivery processes

Provides support during the integration and acceptance testing phases and production implementation.

Resolve incidents and problems of low complexity

Answer user questions and inquiries

Develop and maintain operational procedures and documentation

Provide functional and technical guidance to other team members

Identify process improvements or enhancement opportunities

Assist in the design of appropriate system/process modifications

Plan and conduct system/process testing to ensure modifications meet client specifications

Contribute to the accomplishment of team goals and objectives
Qualifications/Required:

Conceptual knowledge of:
-
information technology application development and support
-
software development life cycle (SDLC) methodologies
-
programming logic / work-flow concepts and;
-
test planning, coordination and execution

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Holistic and proactive approach towards change, process improvement, and execution of job responsibilities

Solid technical aptitude, analytical and problem-solving abilities

Strong customer service skills with an eagerness to learn customer business processes and needs

Ability to execute day-to-day responsibilities with strong attention to detail, quality, and thorough follow-through with stakeholders

Ability to work both independently and in conjunction with clients, management, and peers

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with JIRA, Confluence

Experience working on project using Scaled Agile Framework

Experience with Cloud platforms (AWS, Azure)
