Status: Work from home, Full-time, Salaried with Bonus Potential

Location: This position could primarily be work from home and will consider other locations than those listed, proximity to an Elevance Health major office (pulse point) is a plus.  Elevance Health supports a hybrid workplace model with pulse point sites used for collaboration, community, and connection. 

This is an exciting opportunity to be a part of the Health Solutions COO organization. As the Director Health Solutions Program Implementation & Development , you will be responsible for business execution of a portfolio of projects and/or programs ensuring alignment with the Health Solutions organization's strategic objectives. In addition, you will lead the team in delivering a comprehensive performance-based learning and development strategy for the clinical organization.


How you will make an impact:
•    Leads teams of business project managers executing large scale initiatives, including clinical systems migrations and other enabling initiatives driving forward the overall digital first clinical systems strategy.
•    Effectively manages relationships within the leadership team and builds a solid business partnership with the IT organization in delivering on our strategic priorities. 
•    Manages the PMO office, leading and directing high-priority projects requiring elevated levels of cross functional integration and supported through governance models that drive stakeholder engagement and quick decision making.
•    Ensures the right business intentions are executed accurately and timely with appropriate operational readiness plans.
•    Manages the portfolio using established portfolio management processes.
•    Develops and maintains playbooks for multi-year migrations programs.
•    Collaborates with executive sponsor and stakeholders, continuously reviewing, updating, and optimizing the portfolio to ensure compliance with changing organizational strategies, goals, and objectives.
•    Monitors the portfolio budget, scope, schedule, and key performance indicators to address issues, risks & performance issues and assure achievement of intended project/program outcomes within budget.
•    Communicates portfolio decisions, prioritization, status & risks to the executive sponsors and stakeholders to ensure organizational alignment and optimum return on investment. 
•    Provides strategic direction to Clinical Learning & Development staff ensuring that clinical associates have the skills needed to successfully perform in their roles.
•    Elevates the business through effective Learning & Development activities for new hire and upskill training of clinical and non-clinical support staff.
•    Develops learning strategies and experiences to meet current and evolving business needs relevant to the clinician roles supporting members and providers.
•    Hires, trains, coaches, counsels, and evaluates performance of direct reports.


Requirements 

•    BA/BS degree in related field. 
•    7 years project/program management experience.
•    Minimum of 10 years managed care/health care or related field experience, including prior management experience.
•    Any combination of education and experience which would provide an equivalent background.


Preferences

•    Master’s degree 
•    Project Management Professional (PMP) 
•    Previous clinical learning and development (design and/or delivery) experience
