Initiative Project Leader (Product Enablement Director)

The Carelon Product Enablement Team is seeking a dynamic Initiative Project Leader/Product Management expert to support product teams across Carelon as we improve our end-to-end portfolio management process and implement new systems. This position is best suited to those who are passionate about product but prefer working cross-functionally in a consultative/supportive capacity.

How you will make an impact:

  • Analyzes, determines, and drives opportunities to standardize, optimize and improve end to end portfolio management processes in Carelon, with a focus on portfolio management systems and prioritization.
  • Lead, champion, and support change management for the development of Carelon portfolio system improvements, including business practices, reporting, and enhancements, from assessment through implementation of solutions.  Ensures that business controls are put in place to monitor sustainability of process improvements.
  • Builds consensus across organizational functional areas, uncover trends and improvement opportunities, contribute to solution definition, and determine best practices both internally and externally. Ensures alignment with other product initiatives and portfolios.
  • Identifies and resolves tactical and strategic, high-priority organizational and business issues including building requirements in the enterprise system (reports, customization, dashboards, multi-system integrations and improvements of the platforms)
  • Serves as a thought leader regarding improvements of end-to-end Carelon enterprise portfolio processes, with integration points in key business areas including Operations, Product, Finance, Sales, Implementation, and IT.
  • Serve as a process specialist within the Product Strategy team, supporting configuration, buildout, implementation, and best practice use of the enterprise portfolio management process and system.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Requires a BA/BS degree in a related field and a minimum of 8 years of professional experience in an operations environment including 7 years of leading and directing large enterprise-wide projects; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background. Ability to travel may be required.

Preferred Skills, Capabilities, and Experiences:

  • MBA and/or Six Sigma Black Belt certification preferred.
  • Product Management Experience within an Agile environment.
  • Experience working in enterprise Aha! systems.
  • Experience delivering successful process improvement and change management efforts, managing across the largest and most complex engagements with strong relationship building.
  • Product Management certifications (such as Pragmatic).
  • Agile and/or SAFe certifications (IC-Agile, CSPO, CSM, SAFe PO/PM, SAFe APM).
  • Aha! Administrator certification.

For candidates working in person or remotely in the below locations, the salary* range for this specific position is $122,560 to $220,608.
