Job Title: Remote Behavioral Health| EAP Consultant I (Student Assistance Counselor)

Location: Remote (Accepting candidates throughout the U.S.)

Schedule: Monday - Friday 3:30pm - 12:00am EST OR Friday - Tuesday 3:30pm - 12:00am EST (shift-differential provided for weekend (Sat. and Sun.) and 2nd shifts. Working some holidays is required).

How you will make an impact:

  • Responsible for providing 24/7 Behavioral Health, Employee Assistance and/or Student Assistance Support services.
  • This is a fast-paced inbound call center with clinical staff to address crisis and mental health issues.

Primary duties may include but are not limited to:

  • Supports University Student Assistance Program by responding to initial customer contacts and request for services; receives client request, assesses situation, determines appropriate course of action, and makes follow up contacts.
  • Takes incoming telephone calls from university student population to provide support for crisis intervention, assessment, short term problem resolution, referrals to appropriate provider(s), psychoeducation, and in the moment support/mental health consultation.
  • May assess members and assist them in accessing behavioral healthcare benefits available under their health plan.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Requires minimum of 3 years of direct psychiatric and/or substance abuse experience; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.
  • Current unrestricted license such as (but not limited to) LPC, LCSW, LMFT, LMHC in state of residence required.
  • Requires a suitable and appropriate home workspace and internet service subject to HIPAA Compliance.

Preferred Skills, Qualities, and Capabilities:

  • ·Prior experience providing crisis assessment and/or crisis counseling and/or psycho-education is critical to the role and strongly encouraged.
  • Prior-experience or desire working with young adults and university population is highly preferred.
  • MA/MS Degree is highly preferred and strongly encouraged.
  • Ability to work independently, with attention to detail, and proven follow through on tasks and projects is preferred and highly appreciated.
  • Prior knowledge/experience in using Electronic Record Management is highly appreciated.
  • Outstanding skills in MS Office Tools, such as Excel and Word is strongly preferred.

For candidates working in person or remotely in the below locations, the salary range for this specific position is $64,584.00 to $96,876.00
