The OB Practice Consultant is responsible for establishing and maintaining a positive partnership relationship with OB and Women's Health providers in the Northern and Central Florida region.

How you will make an impact:

  • Assesses current practice patterns, assets and challenges utilizing Standards, HEDIS audits, site reviews and medical records reviews.

  • In partnership with the OB provider, evaluates the initial assessment results.

  • Establishes a project plan with the practice that establishes goals and objectives for improvement.

  • Provides ongoing practice support and sustains the partnership. Establishes regular meetings to track progress.

  • Improves the understanding and sensitivity to the unique needs of this population and the caregivers.

  • Ensures OB providers are offering evidenced-based care to members and driving quality improvement

Minimum Requirements:

  • Requires BS in Nursing

  • Requires a minimum of 2 years of clinical experience

  • Requires a minimum of 2 years of professional presentations to small and large audiences; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.

  • Managed Care experience preferred

  • Current, unrestricted clinical license appropriate to the field of specialty in Florida (LVN/LPN, RN, NP, as required)

Preferred Skills, Capabilities, and Experiences

  • Experience in OB, Maternal Child Services, and or Women's Health is strongly preferred.

  • Willingness to travel within Tampa and the surrounding area
