The Director Provider Economics directs the development of negotiation impact analysis in support of value-based provider negotiations and provides expert advice and analytic support to executive management on cost of care issues and opportunities across the enterprise and lines of business. This position will ensure that value-based goals and objectives are supported by detailed market planning. The development of detailed forecasting and analysis behind value-based programs will provide line of sight to program value and highlight areas of potential future opportunity. 

Primary duties may include, but not limited to:  
•    Prepares healthcare cost analysis to identify new, innovative strategies to control costs. 
•    Performs thorough review of program performance and provides insights to key business partners.
•    Communicates value based contracting strategies both internally and externally to manage stakeholder expectations. Ensures alternative payment methodologies are measured and communicated in an accurate and informative manner.
•    Evaluates cost impact of various value-contracting scenarios.
•    Provides analytic support during market planning. 
•    Provides support to manage to value-based contracting goals and commitments. 
•    Hires, trains, coaches, counsels, and evaluates performance of direct reports. 


BA/BS degree in Business or related field; 5+ years’ experience in broad-based analytical, managed care payor or provider environment; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background. 

Experience in statistical analysis strongly preferred. 
CPA or MBA preferred.

For candidates working in person or remotely in the California, the salary* range for this specific position is $132,240 to $228,114
