The Senior Researcher - Health Economics and Outcomes Research (HEOR) is responsible for prospective and retrospective health economic or epidemiologic research activities for Carelon Research clients OR Public Policy Institute (PPI).
How you will make an impact:

Leading or supporting scientific aspects of research activities as Principal Investigator in the following areas: research designs, methodologies, analytical techniques, and reporting.

Uses subject matter expertise in leading or supporting the development of protocols, statistical analysis plans, review of statistical output, reports, and publications.

Accountable to the final quality and accuracy of these study deliverables and presentation of such and facilitates collaboration among project team members towards their development.

Manages relationship with Carelon Research clients, communicates scientific decisions, and presents key study insights to the client and other external stakeholders.
Minimum Requirements:
-
Requires a MS, MPH or PharmD in epidemiology or health sciences or related field; minimum 3 years of experience in health service research, epidemiology, biostatistics, or a related field; or any combination of education and experience which would provide an equivalent background.
Preferred Skills, Capabilities and Experiences:

Ph.D. or MD strongly preferred.

MS, MPH or PharmD in Health Economics & Outcomes Research, Pharmacy Administration, Pharmacoeconomics epidemiology or health sciences or related field strongly preferred.

Postgraduate or post-doctoral training or relevant experience in conducting observational studies preferred.

Clinical or therapeutic area knowledge, familiarity with managed care pharmacy, pharmacy benefit management, HEOR/RWE development, clinical practice guidelines, and/or understanding of the U.S. health care system strongly preferred.
