Title: Contract Management Executive Advisor

Location: Indianapolis, IN; Richmond, VA; Atlanta, GA

Drive adoption and adherence of enterprise’s Business Continuity/Disaster Recovery processes and procedures by Elevance Health business partners, vendor suppliers and supply chain partners.  Also represents Elevance Health’s BC/DR policies in customer contract negotiations. 

How you will make an impact:

  • Supply Chain (vendor and sourcing) Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery Management – Policy, Processes and Practices.

  • Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) and support BC/DR to Global Supplier Management Office’s (GSMO) Supplier Management Program with IT Sourcing with specific focus on Business Continuity (BC) and Disaster Recovery (DR) management processes.

  • Comfort and skill articulating and discussing contracting issues and working with legal partners and other departments to resolve them.

  • Tracks communications and contract status in accordance with other processes. Owns the contract lifecycle, including approvals, content development, version control, and execution.

  • Partner with the enterprise Global Supplier Management Office’s (GSMO) Supplier Management Program teams to design, develop and implement Vendor Manager owned processes and practices related to DRP and BCP activities.

  • Develop end-to-end workflows, RACI and related collateral.

  • Document user stories / requirements for configuration into the Supplier Management Platform (Process Unity) to bridge any gaps and utilize federated information. 

  • Coordinate and create contract language that is forward thinking and supports Elevance Health’s directive of service continuation. 

  • Support and enhance Vendor Manager and IT Sourcing compliance with BC/DR processes and practices.

  • Develop training material, standard operating procedures (SOPs), etc. to support the adoption of the new processes and Platform functionality.

  • Coordinate/Conduct training sessions for business partners, vendor managers and suppliers.

  • Be a Subject Matter Expert (SME) to various stakeholders and facilitate the rapid adoption of processes.

  • Monitor and report adoption of/compliance with the processes.       

  • Support and enhance Customer master agreements through representing BC/DR aspects of contract language showing Elevance Health’s commitment to service continuation and resiliency of systems.   

  • Participates in fact-based negotiations and executes contracts utilizing approved terms and conditions. Recognize organizational risks, limitations, or concerning language and act as a liaison to facilitate meetings with business partners, suppliers, and additional subject matter experts or legal to negotiate appropriate and favorable terms for the company.

  • Manage the collection, indexing, storage, retrieval, and the set-up of role-based access paths to BC/DR content and documentation that is secured via enterprise processes.

  • Coordinate with enterprise teams including Enterprise Delegate Oversight & Management (EDOM), Vendor Oversight Compliance (VOCoE), and internal Business Continuation (BC), IT Disaster Recovery (DR), and others. to secure documentation, assessment results, Corrective Action Plans (CAPs), etc..

  • Design, build, implement, and maintain a knowledge management framework that provides end-users access to the content.

  • Promote knowledge sharing between information owners and end users.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Requires an BA/BS degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or related field of study and a minimum of 9 years experience in any of the following: coaching, mentoring, monitoring and measuring Information Technology process, tools and standard practices; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background. Relevant certification in applicable domain, such as Project Mgmt, Quality, Availability and Reliability is strongly preferred.

Preferred Skills, Capabilities, and Experiences :

  • Experience with Business Continuity/Disaster Recovery

  • Working knowledge of ServiceNow or WorkDay

  • Confident ability to work with various levels of leadership

  • Strong written and verbal communications

  • Strong Project management skills

  • Ability to balance tasks and multiple competing priorities

  • Demonstrates understanding of IT concepts

  • Information Security Policy knowledge preferred

  • Ability to deal with conflict and confrontation

  • Strong emotional intelligence

  • Experience in any of the following is strongly preferred:  healthcare industry, corporate strategy, capacity planning, data architecture and modeling, database design and management, systems security or quality assurance.
