Senior Carelon Client Partnership and Growth Director (Corporate Development Dir II)

Location: Hybrid, 0-3 times/month in office with 25% travel. The ideal candidate will live within 50 miles of one of our Elevance Health PulsePoint locations.

The Senior Client Partnership and Growth Director is responsible for strengthening existing relationships with Carelon's clients and building new relationships with health plan targets to drive growth across all Carelon products.

The role reports to the Staff VP of Client Partnerships and Growth and is accountable for managing the partnerships and growth agenda for multiple health plan clients across all Carelon solutions. Responsible for managing assigned new growth opportunities for the core Carelon businesses.

How you will make an impact:

  • Establishes key investment themes and strategies.
  • Identifies opportunities for new growth and qualifications of transaction candidates.
  • Collaborates with external partners to develop new business.
  • Oversees valuation analysis, builds financial models, and conducts quantitative analysis to recommend opportunity advancement.
  • Develops business cases and assists in due diligence for adjacent business opportunities.
  • Manages funded portfolio investments.
  • Partners with functional expertise to ensure superior business-case development and successful business building results.
  • Contributes to deal structuring negotiations and creative execution of ad hoc projects.
  • Addresses highly complex analytic issues and independently manages transaction participants including internal business unit, corporate shared services staff, and external advisors.
  • Mentors junior Corporate Development staff.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Requires a BA/BS degree and a minimum of 10 years of related experience; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.
  • Travel required.

Preferred Skills, Capabilities, and Experiences:

  • MBA preferred.
  • Track record of sales and growth success preferred.
  • Experience selling into a health plan preferred.
  • Blues Plan experience preferred.
  • Advanced knowledge of health plan operations preferred.

For candidates working in person or remotely in the below locations, the salary* range for this specific position is $149,440 to $268,992.

Locations:  California; Colorado; Nevada; Washington State; Jersey City, NJ; New York City, NY; Ithaca, NY and Westchester County, NY
