The Clinical Pharmacist – Specialty is responsible for supporting specialty drug clinical strategies to strengthen IngenioRx Medical and Pharmacy Specialty programs. 

Primary duties may include, but are not limited to: 

  • Identifying and implementing strategies to manage specialty cost of care on both the medical and pharmacy benefit
  • Researching and synthesizing detailed clinical data related to specialty drugs to identify opportunities or impact.  
  • Analyzing specialty spend and trend data and creating mitigating strategies in response to trend.
  • Managing clinical program implementations, including regulatory requirements.
  • Ownership of multiple programs currently in varied phases of implementation across all lines of business.
  • Other areas of responsibilities include, specialty benefit design strategies, strengthening the specialty value proposition and presenting to internal and external stakeholders as requested.   

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Requires BA/BS in Pharmacy.
  • Must possess an active unrestricted state license to practice pharmacy as a Registered Pharmacist (RPh).
  • Minimum of 2 years of managed care pharmacy (PBM) experience or residency in lieu of work experience; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.
  • Experience with developing and implementing pharmacy quality & cost savings programs.
  • Experience in the clinical management of specialty drugs

Preferred Qualifications:

  • PharmD preferred
  • Specialty pharmacy cost of care strategy experience preferred
  • Clinical program implementation experience preferred
  • Experience with pharmacy data and analytics preferred.  
  • Experience with medical claims and medical data preferred.
  • Strong presentation skills preferred.
  • Medicare experience preferred.
