JOB SUMMARY :
The Patient Advocate- Bleeding Disorder serves as the primary point of contact and facilitator between key clients and all operational areas inside Carelon Medical Benefits Management.

How you will make an impact:
Primary duties may include, but are not limited to:

Provide excellent customer service to our national customer base of insurers and managed care organizations by securing first-line response and follow-up activities at all levels of the organization.

Act as the single point of contact for patients and referral sources ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.

Manage, administer and facilitate the activities of an internal cross-functional client performance team in direct support of assigned clients, as well as Regional Account Executive initiatives related to those clients.

Schedule and facilitate internal meetings in support of assigned clients, including preparation and follow-up.

Track and manage resulting actions, follow-up, accountabilities.

Work directly with Regional Account Executive to prioritize and develop performance plans and initiatives in support of assigned clients.

Prepare and present periodic reports to various levels of management on assigned accounts.

Compose and prepare correspondence and other written materials, including letters, memos, and meeting agendas/notes.

Effectively deal with issues of confidentiality.

Some travel required (about 10%) to engage in community events locally and nationally.
Minimum Requirements:
-
Requires a BA or BS degree in Business Administration or related field and a minimum of 2 years’ experience administering health insurance product deliverables such as claims processing, eligibility, and system interfaces, resolving client issues; or any combination of education and experience which would provide an equivalent background.
Preferred Skills, Capabilities and Experiences:

Prior or current experience within the Hemophilia community and events highly preferred.

Prior experience in Specialty Pharmacy preferred.
