Position: Pharmacy Account Manager

Location: Indianapolis, IN

Schedule: Hybrid 1 (4-8 days per month in office)

Job Summary

Responsible for serving as the primary contact for Indiana Medicaid specific pharmacy program.

Primary duties may include, but are not limited to:

  • Manage the health plan relationship with PBM Clinical Platforms and Programs
  • Conduct required discharge planning reviews to coordinate member care needs and identify opportunities to promote formulary
  • Develop presentation and participate as Pharmacy lead in Health Plan Quality meetings (QMC, MAC, etc)
  • Participate as Pharmacy lead in Health Plan rounds, including Behavior Health rounds
  • Manage Lock In programs, Rx clin programs/MTM, quality meetings, outreach providers for clinical policy questions and be a backup to Pharmacy Director for state meetings
  • Identify clinical programming offers to strengthen quality score and member outcomes
  • Exercise strategic consultative skills for Medicaid health plan goals, including cost of care and HEDIS ranking
  • Assist in the development of recommendations for outcomes-based savings and revenue opportunities
  • Provide support to Pharmacy Account Manager/Director

Requirements

Requires an Indiana registered pharmacist and minimum of 2 years of managed care pharmacy experience; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background. Current state license to practice pharmacy as a RPH required. Knowledge of current health care and managed care pharmacy practices strongly preferred. Professional designation preferred.
