TITLE: Manager Pharmacy Technician
Location: Indianapolis, IN-fully onsite
How You Will Make an Impact
The Manager Pharmacy Tech is responsible for managing the pharmacy technicians. Oversees the entering and processing of pharmacy overrides into the system based on approved guidelines and approvals from Clinical Pharmacists and/or Medical Directors.
Primary duties may include, but are not limited to:
- Responds to calls from physicians, pharmacies and members on a timely basis.
- Enters overrides into the system.
- Performs special projects.
- Hires, trains, coaches, counsels and evaluates the performance of direct reports.
Minimum Requirements:
- Requires H.S. diploma or equivalent and minimum of 3 years of experience in pharmacy operations, managed care, hospitals and/or retail environments and lead or management experience within a Pharmacy Services call center and experience processing prior authorizations and coverage determinations and experience in appeals/grievances; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.
- Current State Pharmacy Tech required.
Preferred Skills, Capabilities, and Experiences:
- BA/BS in a related field preferred.
- Experience with backend fulfillment preferred
- Certification or National Certification based on applicable state(s) required.
- For URAC accredited areas, the following professional competencies apply: Associates in this role are expected to have strong oral, written and interpersonal communication skills, problem-solving skills, facilitation skills, and analytical skills.
