Commercial Sales Intern - Summer 2024





A Commercial Sales Intern  will be responsible for supporting our Commercial Sales team in developing personal relationships to better understand the healthcare needs of our customers, competitive analysis, and workflow process improvement. As a Commercial Sales Intern, you will have the exceptional opportunity to do innovative, project-based work while gaining knowledge of the healthcare industry.

How you will make an impact:

  • Support client management and create new, innovative healthcare solutions that will bring more value to the business

  • Develop personal relationships to better understand the healthcare needs of our customers

  • Gain knowledge of the sales and retention process from product design, underwriting, and pricing to customer service and claims payment.

  • Interact with Account Executives, Account Managers, and sales support departments

  • Contribute to project-based work including but not limited to; competitive analysis, workflow process improvement, and customer meetings.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Currently enrolled in a BA/BS program at an accredited college/university. Business degrees are preferred, but all majors are welcome to apply.

  • Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher, Rising Juniors and Seniors preferred

  • Ability to work a 40-hour work week in a hybrid work schedule for the duration of the internship.

  • Eligibility to work in the United States, specifically in our South Portland, Maine office.

Preferred Skills, Capabilities and Experiences:

  • Possess a motivated personality and a willingness to learn

  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office

  • Excellent Communication skills, both written and oral.

  • Excellent Problem-solving, Analytical, and Organizational skills

  • Excellent Public Speaking and Presentation skills

  • Leadership experience/skill is greatly preferred
