An Internal Audit Intern will be responsible for supporting the team in a variety of departmental activities such as audit planning, fieldwork, and administration. This role provides an exciting opportunity to learn and apply practical audit knowledge, showcase critical thinking skills, and contribute ideas in a fun and flexible team environment.
The Elevance Health Summer Internship Program is a 12-week immersive experience designed to provide students with real-life, challenging project work, improve business acumen, provide exposure to senior and executive leadership, and the opportunity to learn more about the healthcare industry! Interns will participate in career and professional development activities and networking events with other interns and associates.

How you will make an impact:
-
Opportunity for direct involvement in auditing the operations of the company to evaluate the effectiveness of internal controls and processes.

Document audit walkthroughs of business operations using Microsoft Visio flowcharts or Word narratives.

Assist in performing substantive testing of internal controls and document results.

Provide industry research and audit planning support.

Develop, monitor, and track audit documentation request lists with business operations.
Minimum Requirements:
-
Pursuing an undergraduate degree in Finance, Accounting, Management Information Systems, or related major at an accredited college or university

Minimum overall GPA of 3.25

Ability to work a minimum of 32 hours and up to 40 hours per week for the duration of the internship
Preferred Skills, Capabilities and Experiences:

Rising Juniors or Seniors are preferred

Ability to comfortably work in a fast-paced environment

Familiarity with Microsoft Office products, specifically Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and VISIO

Excellent written and verbal communication skills
